From Shipley in West Yorkshire Nick was born 1st June 1952
Nick has competed at international level in everything from trials, motocross, enduro and a speciality road racing !
With an impressive 8 TT second places the pinnacle in his career has to be the well deserved 1993 TT win !
His father Alan Jefferies founded the legendary Alan Jefferies motorcycles in Shipley, its has since moved to new premises, still in Shipley but sadly concentrates on road bikes.
How may riders can claim a factory ride with Honda in first trials and the road racing
His older brother Tony was a factory rider for triumph. Tony’s son David was a motorcycle legend until his accident in 2003 that claimed his life. Racing has always been in the Jefferies blood !
Nick is better known as a trials rider a very good one at that, he rode works Honda’s and was the key development rider for CCM and Armstrong trials projects.
For me Nick has always been an inspiration especially in my early days of trials, I have shared many a happy memory setting out trials with him, he was always helpful with bike set ups a true ambassador for the sport of trials.
